Attaching the exterior siding should be a straight forward job, as you need to use 4×8′ grooved plywood (5/8” thick) and several nails. Clamp the sheets to the wall studs and secure them with 1 1/4” nails.
Next, assemble the side walls of the shed, using the same woodworking techniques described above. Cut the wooden components only after measuring them several times, in order to avoid costly mistakes. As you should notice in the free plans, the top plate should overhang about 3 1/2” at both ends.
Added options include ready-built sheds that are shipped entirely assembled. Find out in case these will have to be painted, sanded, and finished or stained. Already-built sheds and prefab are an appealing concept but check out delivery costs. Consider feasibility and logistically how you will deal with the project. A number of sheds are sent by a truck built with a crane. Will the crane be in a position to drive in your property and provide the building without ripping down fences or walls or even plowing over a yard or garden?
Typically used for storage and for other purposes that you could think of, the portable shed can vary in its overall design ranging from simple and understated to a complex or bold design. The portable garden shed will not only maximize your outdoor space, but it can simplify and organize many aspects of your life.
Musical instruments can be damaged by heat or humidity, depending on the material from which it is made. For example, an instrument made of wood is very much affected by both. Brass instruments such as trumpets, trombones, and french horns, may corrode when exposed to moisture or humidity, so be mindful of humidity control within your storage space. Sheds are not ideal for storing any musical instrument you wish to keep in good shape or working condition.
After the fad of vinyl siding wore off, back came the wooden storage sheds in a much more classy look that mimics vinyl siding in the exterior look…with just a bit more uppity look and technology. As mentioned, these LP SmartSide products are designed to stand the test of time.

Building an outdoor shed is usually seen as a complex project, but in fact the construction process is a lot easier than it might seem at first glance. Therefore, you should choose the plans that fit your needs, taste and budget, as there are many options available. An 8×10′ shed with a gable roof is a great project, as it offers a significant storage space and it requires basic carpentry skills.
